  1. A jacana is one of seven species of wading 
  2. birds, family Jacanidae, with very long toes 
  3. and claws enabling it to walk on the flat 
  4. leaves of river plants, hence the name `lily 
  5. trotter'. Jacanas are found in Mexico, 
  6. Central America, South America, Africa, South 
  7. Asia, and Australia.
